Warnings: Things to watch for before purchasing a computer or buying upgrade parts.

Make sure that your computer is upgradeable - some computers are not. Or at least you need to buy parts made by that manufacturer. Some companies that regularly create computers that use only their parts are Compaq, HP, Dell, Packard Bell & most laptops. There are others, but be careful before trying to upgrade CPUs, hard drives or memory from these manufacturers. Read the manual, technical specs or contact the company directly. Our company is well aware of how to upgrade proprietary systems, but it will cost more.

If your computer is slow, you need to make sure that it is not the operating system before purchasing new hardware. Perform a defrag of your system, email us if you do not know how to do this and let me know what operating system you have - some operating systems may do it differently. A defrag fills in empty spaces on your hard drive that happen when you install / delete software programs.
